Kindness is Cookie Dough

Kindness is cookie dough.

Do you have a friend going through a rough time? Think they could use a little pick me up? Let’s be honest, we all need a pick-me-up now and then. It’s nothing to be ashamed of! There are times when we don’t feel 100% great, and during those times we can use a little extra kindness and a little extra care.

We at Doughp believe that sometimes (okay, a lot of the time) that extra care should involve cookie dough! It’s the perfect way to show ourselves and others kindness in the form of little baked treats! Cookie dough is only one small part of the equation, though. Helping yourself and others become stronger in the lowest of times is a much bigger part.

You may or may not know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month. At Doughp, we’re committed to making a BIG difference and are are committed to ending the stigma around mental health and addiction recovery. In our efforts to do so, we are proud to partner with SHE RECOVERS. One percent of all proceeds from Doughp go to the SHE RECOVERS foundation. We’ve been working closely with them to educate and support women on their recovery journey – a fitting partnership, given that our founder is open about her experiences in recovery as well. After all, it’s what inspired her to create Doughp! When you place an order from Doughp, you’re not just support a small business that has good taste (we’re flattered, though), you’re directly supporting a much bigger movement.

Want to help out but can’t spare the extra cash for cookie dough? No worries! There are many other ways to support mental health and addiction recovery, whether it’s your personal journey or someone else’s. With that, we invite you to join in on our Pledge. Along with the rest of us here at Doughp, you can pledge to…

  1. Answer straight up when someone asks, “how are you?”
  2. Give and accept compliments without hesitation.
  3. Keep an open door for people who are struggling. If that sounds like a promise you can make, go ahead and pledge, and feel free to add on!

We all struggle sometimes, and Doughp is here to help! Of course, we hope you enjoy our cookie dough. But we hope even more that you’re enjoying your life and living it fully. So this Mental Health Awareness Month (and always), remember to be kind, because kindness is Doughp!
